Steel Construction Inc. was established in July 1994. Preferred Steel is
a fully certified operation through the Canadian Welding Bureau with 10
fulltime Ironworkers on staff, 6 of which are All Position Welders. We also
have welders which hold their B Level Tickets. Preferred Steel Construction
specializes in Structural Steel Erection but most of our staff is very versatile
in all aspects from Handrail to installing over head cranes. When doing Steel Erection Preferred Steel uses a horizontal life line system produced by D.B.I. Sala out of Red Wing Minnesota, known as the "Iron Wing". Safety is a very large part of our job. This system has been utilized by our company for over 5 years. We also use the beamers for connecting and out of reach places with the Horizontal Life Line System. Employing these Safety Practices only means that our Employees will be there when you require us to be onsite. Another benefit of our company is our hands on attitude. Every employee is a team player, no task on the site is too big or too small. A key element to the success of Preferred Steel is our "Preplanning Erection Procedures". This is an essential preparation step for us before starting a job so that we know our game plan before we get on site. This allows us to expedite our production and save time once we are on site |
